Four, portrays the four window views – off into the four corners of the world. The photographs were taken at a nursing home, and the characters are its residents.
They look out into a world which is beyond their access. The window frames and panes separate them from the environment in which they used to actively participate, and in which they wouldn’t be able to function now.
The season concerned makes the outer world look unattractive, grey, ugly, repulsive. Nevertheless, for those who live in confinement, it remains an unattainable object of longing, nostalgia and desire.

Cztery portrety i cztery widoki za oknem – w cztery strony świata. Fotografie powstały w domu spokojnej starości, a bohaterowie tego cyklu są mieszkańcami tego domu.
Spoglądają na zewnątrz, na świat, który nie jest im dostępny. Framuga okna oraz szyba oddzielają ich od otoczenia, w którym kiedyś aktywnie działali, a teraz nie byliby w stanie funkcjonować.
Wybrana pora roku sprawia, że świat zewnętrzny nie wygląda pociągająco, jest szary, brzydki, odpychający. Lecz mimo to, dla ludzi w zamknięciu, pozostaje nieosiągalnym obiektem tęsknoty, nostalgii, pożądania.
